Richard is a landscape, portrait and pet portrait painter. Formerly a set and costume designer for theatre and film he has lived and worked all over the world.

Self taught and highly skilled, his paintings in oils celebrate the truth of his subjects or landscapes in a fresh and dynamic way, revealing their spirit and personality in a painting you will cherish forever.

Influenced by Velasquez, Monet, Bacon and Freud, his aim is to capture the life and truth of his subjects and celebrate their personal beauty.

Based in the West of England, he shares his life with his chocolate labrador Oka and border collie Bill, and his studio is open to all for sittings and visits from clients and customers alike.
